- A new operator has bought the former Mecca building and plans to open by September. Club 3000 revealed today (Wednesday, May 22) that it is investing £1.3 million to “bring bingo back to the Port”. The company has exchanged contracts to buy the site on Marina Drive and plans on giving it a full makeover. Brian Fraser, founder of Club.
- The prices at Mecca Ellesmere Port start from £1 which is the price of most of the smaller games through the week and at weekends. The evening main sessions start from £4.50 (Wednesday) and go.

Prices range from £1, up to £13.50 for some main event evening sessions. Morning sessions are the cheapest, currently priced at between £1-£2 each. Afternoon sessions range from £1 to £13.50. Mecca Bingo Ellesmere Port is located right in the heart of the town, and has seating for 556, a bar and café serving good value food throughout the day and night, it’s easy to join, they have loads of specials, events, and regular promotions, and keep an eye on their Facebook and Twitter pages for all the news at the club – and some good giveaways and competitions for their followers.
They also have EBingo terminals, and disabled access and facilities, and lots of parking at the nearby shopping centre. The venue is also near the Ellesmere Port Bus station, which serves the Wirral, Chester, Liverpool, Cheshire, and North Wales areas.
While in the neighbourhood, it’s worth checking out the Port Arcades Shopping Centre, which has all the great retail outlets like New Look, Wilkinsons, Peacocks, Argos, Boots, and an Asda Supercentre, as well as a fully covered market, all under the one roof.
